These reminiscences of Dr A. Jackson (known affectionately as ‘Spike’, probably because his black homburg and black overcoat made him look like a gangster) are taken from a video of the 50th anniversary reunion of class 1A from 1952. Those remembering Spike are Mr Cooksey, who was then a young master learning his trade, Gary Griffiths who remembers Spike in the classroom, with asides from other boys of 1A and an eventual demonstration of a lesson from Spike impersonated by David S. Wilson, who knew Spike as a schoolboy and as a colleague when he became a teacher. For more information, contact David Tall, who made the video and has transferred it to DVD.
