We have tried to identify everyone in the first form in 1952. We are now down to identifying the last two, namely Greenham RW and Johnson TE in form 1c. In response to the request for information, Geoff Parnell wrote: I can identify nos. 4,5 &11. They are J.Cockerill, R.J.Kisbee & D.T.Howe respectively. I believe that you might find that nos 1,6,7,8, & possibly 10 are all second year intake.
In your 1C pictures, you have placed a question mark over T.E. Johnson. I have searched the full school photo again but can find no trace of the person I think this is. He was a friend of Ollie Lee's and came from Earls Barton with him.

John Hobbs writes: I can identify a couple of the remaining unknowns. 9 is Parkes and 13 is Spencer. 6 and 7 are from the next year. 6 is Brian Clapham if I remember correctly but I can't recall the name of #7. A later flash of inspiration suggests #3 is Lawrence.

Richard Cox identified #7 as McNeill. This is useful as Richard joined us in the lower sixth and therefore can help us distinguish some of the 1952 second year.

Ian Richardson (1951) who was in the second year in 1952 writes: I can confirm that No. 6 is almost certainly Brian Clapham, and I think that No. 8 is Christopher Byles (although he did have a look-alike older brother Peter). Chris was killed in a road accident near Souldrop in the 60's.

On the panorama Trevor Clarke is in the middle of picture 3 next to unknown 10 who is almost definitely Christopher Adams. Trevor is the one with the vacant gaze and glasses sitting near Buzz.

This raises a query about the picture assigned to Bailey AF in 1b ... I am pretty sure myself that it is correct. [Ed]
