WGS 1952, The A-Stream

The idea to have a reunion of the boys who arrived at Wellingborough Grammar School 50 years ago was the brain-child of Barry Clarke. But how do we get together a large enough group without it growing too large? The solution was to attempt to trace those in 1a in 1952, together with others who joined the group in later years through to the sixth form, adding other contemporaries we found in our search. On this page the a-stream is listed as it was at the end of the years 1953, 54, 55. At this point, those in 3a moved either to 5a1 and 5a2 to take a four year course to O-level and those who moved to 4b took a 5 year course. On moving into the 6th form, the mixture of boys taking four and five year courses gavie a sixth form as listed below.
